UNITY is compassion for the trials of others

As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.  Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the LORD has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.  Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.  And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.  ~ Colossians 3:12-15

Having compassion for all who are in temptation, a condition which we are sometimes in, we have a responsibility toward them.  Compassion always includes responsibility.  Pity is useless because it does not have a remedy for the need.  But wherever our sympathy goes, our responsibility goes as well.  When we are moved with compassion, we can go to the one in need and bind up that person’s wounds as best we can.  ~ Fr. Pat Umberger http://frpat.com/

Pray that we may have compassion for those in temptation.  Pray that we may have concern for the trials of others, and the willingness to offer our help.

With what piece of Christ’s wardrobe (see above verse) do you need to clothe yourself with, in relation to your Lady, your children, your Brother Knights, your siblings, your parents, your neighbor, your employer or employees?

A human life is a single letter in the alphabet.  It can be rendered meaningless, or it can be part of a great meaning. ~ New York Herald Tribune, “Who Takes Delight in Life”
