October 5 ~ Respect Life Month

UNITY is bearing our share of hardship

So do not be ashamed of your testimony to our LORD, nor of me, a prisoner for his sake; but bear your share of hardship for the gospel with the strength that comes from God.  ~ 2 Timothy 1:8

Pastor Martin Niemoller condemned the Nazis during World War II and was sent to a concentration camp.
After the war, he was heckled and jeered by 1,200 students for telling a Jew in public, “I acknowledge my guilt and beg you to forgive me and my people for this sin.”
Rev. Neimoller did not let the heckling and jeering silence him.  He showed the kind of courage Paul showed in his own imprisonment.  It is the courage to stand up for what we think is right, which every Christian should have.  ~ Mark Link, S.J.

Rev. Niemoller courageously stood up for the lives of the Jews.  How courageous has our council been in standing up for the unborn, the weak, the sick and the old?
If you struggle to come up with specific examples across the board, how might our council strategy be changed to mobilize Knights for Life?

He who has saved a single life it is though he has saved the entire world.  ~ The Talmud
